This is a vintage cell image--it's a print in two parts. The first part is a conventional print on thick paper, and the second part is a printed piece of celluloid, printed with the image's details, and mounted to lie on top of it.These produce an image in very much the same way as animation cells.These were produced in the late 1950's as publicity handouts for physicians byLaboratoire Choay in Paris France to celebrate bizarre original inventions in aviation.Matted size is 12.5 inches x 9.5 inches.

CONDITION:By "antique " we mean over 100 years of age.By "vintage"we mean between 50 and 100 years of age. This item is made of matter and it is OLD; it is NOT new. There are signs of age and usage, including but not limited tominor bending, browning, toning and foxing of the paper,surface wear, irregular edges,and / or other irregularities characteristic of and typical of old printed paper items.The condition is generally good overall, there isn't anything obviously functionally wrong with it, and the condition is exactly as shown in the photos; please look at all the photos carefully and read this description carefully. There may be signs of age and usage that we missed because we aren't specifically trained to see them. This has not been examined microscopically.
